The classics have arrived. Opening weekend is upon us, and with that we begin a concentrated run of intense competition in one-day races. As a small team, nearly every member of our squad will be in action at some point throughout the spring, with the large number of races leading to both high fatigue and also a broad variety in the types of course, and the talents needed to perform well.

The women’s classics season kicks off this weekend with the elite Omloop Het Nieuwsblad, 128 kilometres of cobbles and vicious short climbs. Among the teams on the start line will be long-standing UCI continental outfit Le Col Wahoo. Rouleur’s Rachel Jary joined riders and staff at their pre-season training camp to find a team raring to get stuck in.

In the first of a series of live Instagram Q&As with the Le Col Wahoo team, Amy Lauren Jones spoke to our 25-year-old Dutch rider Marjolein Van 't Geloof (Majo for short) who had a stellar 2021 season including 13th place at the inaugural Paris Roubaix Femmes.
